Insan Dost Foundation is an independent advocacy and action organization that challenges Pakistani state to live up to its constitutional commitments about ensuring universal human rights to its citizens. We are a strong voice against enforced disappearances, religious intolerance, injustice, extremism & media censorship in Pakistan.

We strongly believe that fundamental rights enshrined in the constitution of Pakistan can be ensured by a free judiciary and rule of law that is equal to all citizens irrespective of their language, area, ideological differences or religious beliefs; whether it be minorities or majority belonging to any part of the country (without any discrimination at all).

Rights of a person cannot override the rights of other individual. Assassinations, killings and kidnappings by certain state or non-state elements justifying in the name of national interest or vigilantism is highly deplorable. Law cannot be taken into one’s hands in the name of demand for justice; therefore, we strongly condemn the shocking and brutal events of mob justice happening every other day in various parts of the country. Pakistani state authorities seem to be failing on every account to stop such incidents of lynching in the name of vigilantism; nor we see any action on part of national policy makers.

We also strongly condemn the ongoing enforced disappearances of human rights activists, media persons, social media activists and other civilians at the hands of state as well as non-state actors alike; and call for justice for the victims & their bereaved families.

Democracy depends on the guarantee of equal rights under law and freedom from discrimination for all individuals in a society. If the rights and freedoms of one segment of the population are violated with impunity, the same sorts of abuses are likely to be visited on others. Those forced to endure a subordinate status have less incentive to play by the rules, creating a vicious circle of defiance and repression.

State must stop patronizing terrorist and extremist organizations. Let’s foster peace & harmony instead.

Let’s join hands & raise our voice for freedom of expression, freedom of movement, freedom of religion, freedom to vote, right to justice, peace & prosperity for every citizen of Pakistan.
